About Me
I am a psychologist and neuroscientist dedicated to building bridges between research, psychotherapy, and education.
My work centers around understanding human experience in all its depth – from the structure of neural circuits to the emotional texture of a therapeutic conversation.

Currently, I am in training to become a licensed psychological psychotherapist specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) at the Akademie für Verhaltenstherapie in Cologne, Germany. Alongside my clinical path, I continue to pursue scientific research as an independent researcher. My academic journey began with a BSc in Psychology at the University of Twente, followed by an MSc in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Amsterdam. Throughout this journey, I have been fortunate to collaborate with institutions such as Columbia University and New York State Psychiatric Institute in New York City and the Amsterdam University Medical Center.
In addition to my clinical and research roles, I teach psychology at IU International University of Applied Sciences, where I lead courses and mentor students in their research and academic development. I also offer individualized tutoring for students in areas such as psychology, neuroscience, statistics, and research methods.
What ties all of this together – therapy, research, and teaching – is a deep interest in how people make sense of the world, how minds change, and how knowledge can foster understanding, growth, and healing. I believe that good science is compassionate, and good therapy is curious. My work lives in the space between the two.
My Vision
I envision a world in which knowledge and empathy go hand in hand – where scientific insight deepens human connection, and personal experiences fuel scientific curiosity.
Whether I’m working with clients in therapy, analyzing complex datasets, or guiding students through their learning journey, my goal is to create spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported. I want to make difficult ideas more accessible and human experiences more understandable.
In research, I’m fascinated by the question of how our minds construct reality – and what happens when those interpretations diverge from shared reality. In psychotherapy, I seek to understand and support individuals through the richness and complexity of their lived experiences. In teaching, I aim to cultivate not just competence, but also confidence and a sense of purpose.
Ultimately, I want to contribute to a culture in which vulnerability and precision are not contradictions, but complements – in science, in therapy, and in life.
My Values
- Growth: I see development as a lifelong process – not just intellectually, but personally. Growth means being open to change, challenge, and curiosity.
- Empathy: I believe that understanding begins with listening. Empathy is at the core of both my therapeutic work and my approach to science and teaching.
- Openness: I value diverse perspectives, interdisciplinary thinking, and the willingness to question assumptions. Openness is where creativity and curiosity meet.
- Clarity: In all areas of my work, I strive for clarity – in thought, in communication, and in structure. Making things clearer doesn’t make them simpler; it makes them more meaningful.
